We wish you a Merry Christmas.....

I couldn't pass this one up either. Today the girls were singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" in the kitchen. I thought I heard some funny wording, but I had to check to make sure. I asked Auburn, "What comes after New Year?" She didn't get what I was saying so I started singing it and then stopped and listened. She was singing, "The tithing we bring to you and your kin." I know I've said it before, but I love kids!

Funny Story

I had a quick funny story to share. Tonight while we were watching tv, a commercial came on that showed a little boy cutting his hair. Auburn said, "What would be a wiser choice, to cut your own hair all jaggedy, or to have a Barbara cut it?" Ha ha ha! I love it when kids says things like that. I don't know if I mumble, if she's hard of hearing, or both, but she seems to do that a lot. We don't have a Barbara, but we do have a Brenda. :)

Surprise!

Well, after only 8 years we're going to have a baby again. I wasn't sure for a while because of all the problems in the past, but it's official. I heard the heartbeat and saw the ultrasound. The official due date is April 7th. Wow, were we surprised and excited. I hope I remember how to do this. I am extremely out of practice with the little ones. Auburn is very excited and has to make sure I'm not doing anything to hurt the baby. She wants the baby in her room. Lauren was in shock at first, but she's warmed up to the idea. (That is until she found pictures at the back of the baby magazine. There were several showing a woman in childbirth taken from the nether regions. She is quite disturbed now that people will have to touch me "there". Poor thing.) She wants to have a say in the baby's name ("no old names").

I love the little sign that Auburn made.

First Day of School

The annual first day of school photos. Lauren has discovered the staightener. She didn't want her pony tails to be wavy. They were so excited for school to start. Lauren isn't so much now. The pictures of both of them turned out really cute.

Trip to Cedar City

We took the girls to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. They did an awesome job on the whole show. We got seats up in one of the balcony boxes. The girls were laughing so hard on one part I had to ask them to be quiet. Lots of fun. I wish mom and I wouldn't have wasted our money on Cyrano de Bergerac. I thought it would be really good, but we fought trying to stay awake during the play and so did many others. There was an older lady that was leaning over and snoring for a while, and a many that snored through a good part of the 1st act.
Auburn, Lauren & the Bard

Don't you love how they have to hold their toys up in the picture. We got those at the St. George DI before we drove up.

Grandma & the girls waiting for the backstage tour.

During the Greenshow, there was a man that carved walking sticks in the plaza. Lauren was so fascinated, she wouldn't leave that area for about an hour. The walking sticks were only around $300.

Auburn was getting tired and mom was trying to finish the book she had gotten into.

I spent my time watching the Greenshow performers. They sang songs and performed dances from the British Isles. Lots of fun!

Trip to St. George

My mom and I took the girls down to St. George and Cedar City to see a couple of musicals. We saw the Sound of Music at the Tuacahn Amphitheater. The weather was really nice earlier in the day so we took the girls swimming. They love to be in the pool.

Lauren wanted me to take a picture of her pretending to drown.

Weird, huh?

Auburn getting into the pool. Do you like her pose?

Lauren at the little stream that runs down the stairs towards the entrance.

Such a natually beautiful setting

I love how this picture turned out. Thankfully the worst rain came before the show.

Trying to keep out of the rain after the dutch oven dinner. Mmmmmm!

Grandma and the girls enjoying the pool the next day. My mom wanted to take the hot tub and pool home with her. Nice souvenir huh?

The girls created a life diaper. They slipped the arm holes over their legs. It looked so funny when they would walk around.

This St. George temple is so pretty. Especially on an overcast day.

The girls were trying to catch a butterfly in the flowers.

This was so cool. They were growing cotton by the temple visitor's center. I know I have been to Alambama many times, but I had never seen cotton during this stage. It really a pretty plant.

Again, such a beautiful temple!

4th of July Photos

Yes, I know I am very behind! Here are some of our pictures from the 4th.

Here's Auburn waiting for the parade. I love her outfit and star shoes!
Lauren with her bubbles. We had an ant problem so we doused them with soapy water. She grabbed the leftover suds.

Our girls love to be with their girl cousins. Auburn's holding a potato bug.

This picture screams America to me. I love living in this country!

My mom's neighbor collects bikes. This is the second year he let Brook ride one of his bikes. Who knew there could be a bike that would make Brook look small? I told him he looks like Pee Wee Herman. He's cute.

The flag wavers.

Grandpa & Grandma with the grandkids

See those smiles? It's from all the sugar. :)

We took Jared's girls to the Miley Cyrus concert. Here is the before picture.

Here is the after photo. Lauren always crys when Miley sings the song about her grandpa that died. Jayden is so sweet.
